I'm a newbie in more ways than one here. FL grown and raised, I live in CT now and just purchased an Ariens Sno-Thro for $200. I'm trying to ID it. but am having trouble. Here's what I know; it is 8hp Techumseh, 24". It is an older one that has been very well cared for, the seller was very detailed in telling me how to service it/prepare it for seasonal storage. However, many of the labels are half worn away and I'm not sure where the s/n or model number tagging is supposed to be. I'm guessing this blower is from the late 60s or early 70s. I have looked at a lot of postings and manuals, most are close but not quite, my throttle control is a lever on the engine housing left of the hand-pull starter- it is not the handle mounted type. Can anyone enlighten this FL transplant? Pictures provided upon request. Any other info I should be aware of will be appreciated too. Thanks. Scott "CT-Golfer"
