Help Find parts, Craftsman 13HP30 944.526800

Got an issue with my old snowblower, finally failed me. Seems the differential gear assembly has a problem and won't turn in one place on the gear so the impeller just spins while the auger won't. I'm sure it's the gear and has some teeth missing in one place. When I move it by hand the auger will move until I get to a spot on the gear then it stops. I haven't taken it apart yet but will in the coming days. Just looking for info on where to find parts because when I put in the model # at sears parts direct it doesn't show it. I know this is a Husqvarna snowblower rebranded/colored as a craftsman so wondering if there's a cross reference chart out there somewhere?
The snowblower is in excellent condition overall so it's worth to fix providing it's not outrageous for the part. I can fix it so I'll save the dealer cost there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Model # 944526800 serial # 120606M 001122

Did some digging. Part # AYP 407763 is the replacement worm gear but unavailable. Must buy complete gearbox assembly Husq 586854201 @ $265 CAD or Craftsman Part #196710 at $279 CAD. Man that's expensive. Why don't they make a replacement worm gear? Crazy!
Took apart the gearbox and found worm gear teeth stripped on one part of the gear. Was hoping the keyway was sheared off but no luck. Have buy the complete gearbox assembly.

Ended up buying the complete gear box assembly and got a discount on it but it was still expensive. Oh well, Hopefully it will last another 10 years. I'm sure everything else on the snowblower will be obsolete by then.

Did a search yesterday and it seems you can't find that worm gear alone for sale. Boo to Husqvarna there, E replacement parts hows the gear with a number but when you go down the list it says gearbox assembly with the price to match.

If it isn't too late, here's a 196710 currently on eBay for $100 less:

Gear box 196710/532196710/586399501 HUSQVARNA OEM FITS SOME SNOW BLOWER | eBay

Could it be that the machine is actually a 1967; 50 years old ?
