Is it quite easy to carry out the valve lash or would it be better to let my dealer do it i'm mechanically minded but i have no idea the gap should be and not sure how to really do it,but if relatively straight forward i'll try myself but that's my question is it easy or difficult??
Depending on the motor your working on, it can be 15 to 30 minute job on an overhead valve motor, or a 1 to 2 hour job on a flat head motor that needs adjusting. We don't know what motor you have.
Unless you have access to the manual for your engine containing the clearances for the rocker arms and the proper adjustment procedure, you would be wise to have the dealer do it. If you are unfamiliar with adjusting overhead valves, you could end up with a really crappy running engine. It is not a overly difficult procedure, but it is an exacting one. MH
Here is a video for lawnmowers, same principle though.
