February 5th storm

We got more snow here in CT on Feb 5th. Initially they said it'd be an inch. Turned out to be at least 6 inches of very wet and heavy snow that knocked 74% of my towns power out for 30 hours! I'm so glad I have a generator! It kept the wife and kids sane and warm.
After I cleared my driveway with my Cub Cadet, which struggled with the wet and heavy snow, I cleared my neighbors driveway. Our other neighbor said they were in Cancun (lucky them!) and their son was going to come by and clear it. Since most of the area was without power and the roads were very treacherous, I decided to just go ahead and clear it myself.
Later that night there was a woman on the community forum on Facebook asking for help for her husband to get a generator he just bought at Lowe's out of the back of their car. I went over, helped him drag this big Troy Bilt genny out of the back seat of their car and helped him set it up. It became very apparent that he had never owned a generator and was kind of clueless on how to set it up and operate it. I gave him a quick tutorial on how to run it and recommended to change the oil after a few hours.
After that, I called it a night! Our power didn't come on until almost 5 PM today (Sat.). Put 25 hours on the generator and it ran great!

Here's the view from after the storm! Notice how laden the trees and power lines are with snow!
