A couple of days ago,I blew out my drive way after about an 11 inch snowfall in Green Bay,WI.Everything worked fine. Then the snowplow went through.I fired up the old Simplicity again and went to clear the new mess. I went to push down the auger lever down and it was real stiff. I pushed it down anyway but it would not engage. Can someone out there tell me what this could be and how to fix it? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Jeff
Hmmm.... hard to say, but Im guessing what ever tightens the auger belt, had broke or froze up. Once it got pushed all the way it probably broke all the way, or got disconnceted. Think your going to have to brake her open and eyeball it.
Two stage or single stage? I had a similar issue with my two stage, but I also had belt squealing and the engine would die after a second or two. Turned out to be ice build up behind the impeller, it locked everything up.
might want to thaw it out before you get too far ahead of things....sounds like you put her away filled with snow....
