Worth buying?

This is a fixer upper. A few things I am not getting. The chute appears to be a Craftsman design not the typical high end Ariens wormb gear. The bucket repainted grey. What do you think, worth getting? Ariens snowblower | snowblowers | City of Halifax | Kijiji

I think that is a ******* child of snow blowers, The bucket doesn't look right to the pics I can find and that just might be from a craftsman too LOL. I think its a mix match of snow blowers. Here is what I can find on the 8524

That looks like an old green Murray with an Ariens handlebar set.
Guess up by you that may have been more Noma front, my aging computer sees green, in the bucket, could be grey.
Pics come through weird on mine, but that looks like 1/2 gallon gas tank usually seen on the 5hp?????

I think the sellers of broken blowers in Halifax are in laa laa land. They must think they are sitting on the crown jewels. Trying to find a thick metal snow blower but everyone wants top buck for worn out junk. I can see why people get frustrated and swipe a credit card and buy new. A good motor will cost in excess of $300.00 in Halifax N.S. Canada. offered a guy $1250.00 for a mint shape 622 Honda. He was greedy and said he paid four grand for it and countered for $1350.00. I hate Kijiji!!!!

I agree, that unit is Frankenstine's ugly brother. The chute is not OEM. Thanks for the heads up. People on Kijiji are nuts with selling stuff way overpriced. Feel like buying a new Ariens but I am trying to squeeze the buck. A shovel is starting to look good, but after using a snowblower, cannot go back to slave labor.

Ariens handlebars.
Maybe an Ariens tractor unit.
Old Noma or MTD bucket..
Without a working engine, it's essentially worthless..
Considering the mix of manufacturer parts probably don't work great together, I wouldn't take it if it was free..I would literally give it a value of zero dollars.
