Ariens 922009

I replaced the motor with a Predator and used a double pulley on the engine shaft. All is well except when you shift to reverse it goes into high speed forward. High speed forward is reverse. Any ideas on why it's doing this and how to fix it?

Was that a dual shaft motor you replaced? If so its because the second shaft ( camshaft) is a reverse rotation shaft

I know it's possible on some machines, but not sure for all.

The drivetrain can be reversed. Literally flipping the whole assembly 180 degrees.

Don't know Your Location, but I have a double shaft Tecumseh Available in Hudson Ma, Reasonable, or will trade for the Predator.

I would put another dual shaft motor on it...or junk it and get a 10000 series ariens and put the Predator on that.
