New SHO28 New gas tank??

I know this is crazy, but is it possible to swap out this horrible design gas tank for one of the better designed tanks on other model Ariens?? This tank is a pain in the ass and my new blower has not even seen snow

I replaced the gas tank on my machine with a new one for the Ariens Pro model. It is not a direct fit due to the different mounts, but not too hard to make fit. I did not purchase the Pro model panels that enclose the tank, I modified the originals and made a new front part. The engine is a little more exposed but has not proven a problem so far this season. The carb heater box is retained so no problem with carb icing. The greater height of the new tank does not affect the lighting or anything else. I am not at all skilled in fabricating but it looks ok.

The stock tank is rated at 3 liters but I could only get 2.5 liters approx into it. The cap was a disaster to refit after fill up.

The Pro tank is spec'd at 5.6 liters but I can put over 6 liters into it. The cap works well.

So nice to blow out 8 driveways this year and not have to refill the tank.
