Angry Broken rivets on 24" SHO

The rivets broke on the shoot,I replaced them with 10/32 round head screws,lock washers and blue loctite

Looks like the top ones are failing also. When summer comes, I'd replace them with some stainless button head allen screws & nylock nuts.

Hmm, odd ball thing to deal with on a brand new machine. I'd even call that an upgrade.

Yea..I used what I had to get it ready for the next storm tomorrow.It is under warranty,I think I will do a better job fixing it.

The warranty fix would be.. a new chute most likely, which would have the rivets. No point in doing that. You've done a good job with your own fix. This is the first time I've ever heard of rivet issues though. Could be worth passing the info along to Ariens though in case it is a design/engineering flaw since you are using a fairly new machine..
