Shift Fork: TWO Bends?

Hey guys,
Have a 921012. I was doing a tune up and notice that the shift fork appears to be bent a bit: it has the normal 90 degree corner that is outside of the frame that hooks onto the link mechanism that goes to the shift lever. But right where the shift fork rod enters the frame, it's ALSO bent about 10-15 degrees or so. I can't say I noticed this before (though I never really looked at it). On the parts diagrams, it's tough to tell if that second bend is actually supposed to be there or not. Can anyone confirm for me: should the shift fork rod be perfectly straight, other than the 90 degree bend on top? I think it should, but don't want to spend $40 for a new one if I don't need to...

Yup, saw that one too...the issue is the part number sticker is directly over the area where I have this "phantom bend". I'm thinking more and more it's truly "bent-out-of shape".

Not sure if this helps but I'm not seeing a bend in that area on this diagram.
