old late 70's ariens 8HP

I have a chance to get this older ariens for $80 it looks to be in good shape. what do i need to look out for ariens guys. is it worth it if in good running condition?

If its in good shape and everything works, its absolutely worth $80.
It could go for $200 to $250.

I see it has new tires as well. Though, they are on backwards. You will probably want to switch the left and right.

Those tires alone are probably worth around $40.

That's right, I also noticed the "X-trac" type tires, but missed the fact that they were backwards.....

Never hurts to brush up on your inspection skills. IMHO I think it's a good price just in parts.
