Hard Starting compact 24

All,
my dad has a compact 24 with the 208cc AX motor. The machine has fresh ethanol free gas in the tank and has been run several times this year. The issue we are having is that if the machine sits for say a day or two it can only be started using the electric start. And it probably has to crank a solid 30-40 seconds with the choke on and having been primed etc before the machine will fire up. We have a Toro 828 that can sit for days, weeks etc just prime it a few times and full choke and it will start 2-3 pulls. My Honda928 the same, starts 1-2 pulls with full choke. Any Ideas on the Ariens? The machine is 3 years old

Garage
I'd say your primer bulb is not working, or the vacuum hose fell off of it on the back side. Pick up the cover and see if it's all connected.

Hydro Pro hit the nail on the head, the line from the primer bulb to carb was cracked. Replaced the line and she runs and starts like she should.
