Spindle Bearing Housing

Just picked up a nice Ariens 1971 910995 , 24 inch .
Got the motor running fine but it had a broken spindle bearing housing that goes between the disc plate and main pulley.
How did this Part break ? It was destroyed. Anyone had one break
I’ve fixed lots of Ariens blowers, never seen it before
Anyway part was readily available,so its fixed now.

Thanks,I’ll have to remember that.
I was lost ,but that makes sense, rarely work on these vintage models, with the twin handles.
This model is not too safety minded.

Thanks again
