Motorhead, did you just acquire that baby? Looks awesome! If you need a chute or belt cover, I have them sitting in my shed from a 62 that I used for parts, let me know.

Not new to me, Ray, but posting photos is. I thought I was Previewing my post before adding text and Bingo, I'm on the forum! Anyway, I have a chute and a belt cover but they're off for rust work and paint. This is my first series 1960 10M H45-2077, as found. It is a lot farther along than this now, but I'm still working on best way to post photos from photobucket. The carb is all rebuilt, the valve seats and valves reground, new points and condenser, and she fires up. Working on the linkage now. The bucket is all back together with new bearings. Reassembly is slow due to the cold and my unheated shop. More pics to come. MH

Alien Carburetor

This is the carburetor used on the first series Ariens H45-2077 10M snow thro. The engine was only used in 1960. It is a 4.5 hp Lauson. The carburetor is a Tillotson E2B updraft. It was used on the H55 5.5 hp engine as well. Looks like an alien spacecraft. Warp factor 5, Scotty. Hope this photo posts correctly. Might have to upgrade my technology skills. MH

WOW! A 1960 10M. The one that started it all. Very nice!
