Carb jet cleaning

Hi guys, I felt the engine on my ariens surging a bit so I decided to do a bit of maintenance this afternoon.

I 1st turned the fuel shut off valve and let the engine run dry.

Removed the choke nob. Removed the carb cover and proceeded to remove both jets. The idle or pilot jet has a tiny black plastic cover that needs to be removed 1st. The idle jet's main hole was blocked and I also removed gunk from the small hole on the main jet.

Just doing this really helped get the engine back to a stable idle and high.
