Ariens 924044 10 Hp

I am trying to find snowblower dimensions for this machine as I would like to see if it will fit in my sport utility. I know it is very large.

Anyone know overall length, height at handlebars and at the engine and width (assuming the 32" width"?

Thanks

Rather than try to fit it in your suv, recruit a friend with a truck, or borrow or rent a trailer. Trying to stuff a snowblower that large into a suv can damage your vehicle, not to mention, injure the people trying to stuff it into a confined space.

Thank you! I put an 8 hp (924026) into the car a few weeks ago without too much trouble. I think they are similar size with similar dimensions but I am not sure. I contacted Ariens but they could not help.

I hauled a 10,000 series in a 1st gen BMW X5 once by folding down the rear seats, unbolting the attachment, then loading them separately.

The key was making sure it was drained of gas and propping up the tractor handlebars to keep it as level as possible. I then used a couple tie-down straps to keep it in place.

Worked perfect. Make sure though you got help both loading and unloading. It's a two man job for most mere mortals.

1974 Ariens 922008/922003 "Frankenstein", my dad's 1st new snowblower
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "The Badger", recent addition, ready for snow
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "Juneau", finally ready for snow
1971 Ariens 910962/910995 "Bill", SOLD 3/7/2019

Rough measurements......

36" high at the handles with the levers squeezed.....

32 1/2" wide at the bucket .... then add extra depending on what type of shoes it has on it.

34" from front of bucket to rear of the tire.....

60" from front of bucket to end of handles.....

Hope this helps you with your quest !!!

I have a custom 924044 myself and it is my favorite machine, I've built a 36" beast and I'm still tweaking my 24" SHO machine. I love ariens machines, still can get parts for these older units. My machines will be handed down to my grandkids, for another 50 year run !!!!

Thank you very much. This is helpful. I live in Michigan and I am driving to the upper peninsula to pick up this machine. Not wanting to tow a trailer through what are customarily tough road conditions.

I have a 2005 Toyota Rav4 and have had a couple 8hp, one was very long, in there. The key is handles in first. On some the handles can be removed, and you can always remove the auger housing.

1995 Murray Craftsman 10hp, 29" w. 12" impeller
A 1983 Real John Deere 10hp, 32" w. 12" impeller, 16" auger, 20" high front, cast iron gear box, chains
Noma 9hp, 27" w. 12" impeller
Noma 5hp, 24" w. 12" impeller, 20" high front
Gravely Convertible, 12hp Kohler cast iron, 26" width, 600 lbs of cast iron & steel, 2 speed impeller, 4 ground speeds
Dynamark 8hp, 26", 12" impeller, for sale
Several other 5hp, 8hp, several 2 cycle, all for sale

I haul mine quite often & run it up some ramps,in low gear it walks right up.probably take the chute off first & it will fit & put the back seats down.
