Upgrade? 724E to Compact 24?

Hi the summer is the best time to start thinking about the winter. This winter I upgraded my way into an Ariens 724E 932046. Its a nice machine and works well but its old and age is showing on the frame with rust on the impeller and housing.I didnt pay much for it and would probably do a rebuild this summer if I really wanted to. However, I have found a compact 24 which appears to be in better shape than mine. Would this be an upgrade to my unit aside from cosmetic condition? I would basically be buying the new unit for near nothing except a 3hour round trip so gas. And be able to recoup my old units cost come the fall.

Thanks in advance for thoughts and opinions

Something doesnít look right about that compact 24, wrong bucket and chute looks way to old, might be a mismatch machine, I may be wrong but I donít think thatís a compact at all.

Sno-Tek Modded, 15"X-Track tires (Now has same X-Track tires but 13"x4" for better fit), 254cc engine LED light and hand warmers.
Snapper 6/22 sold but not forgotten. Was my first.
Ariens ST1027LE workhorse and going strong.
New 2017 Ariens Deluxe completely rebuilt after losing a fight with a forklift.
Dauntae is online now
