Picked up this beauty yesterday!

Joined the Ariens team yesterday! Read lots of great advice on this site and pulled the trigger on a used 1027le with a fresh servicing. Woke up to SNOW! not enough to blow but hopefully a sign of the winter to come. Posting pics because I knew somebody would ask

Congrats! Looks awesome, very similar to the 2005 11528LE I got back in April.

Thanks guys, can't wait to try it out. More snow coming Monday/Tuesday here, probably not enough to plow and blow yet but hoping my chance will come soon!

So it looks like the Ariens line up included a 9/26, a 10/27 and a 11.5/28 all about the same time frame. I didn't want a huge blower but I like that Ariens made these with good power for their sizes unlike most others out there.

You must have the 921002 model, or the ST1027LE. I have the 921001 model. Same engine design, but your is 358cc vs. mine 318cc. Everything else is pretty much the same, but you have more whistles and blows (like remote wheel turns). Your machine is just as good as the newer Ariens, if not better.

Your impeller speed is 1130-1160 rpm as said in the manual. The new Ariens deluxe is 1030 rpm and the SHO is 1080 rpm. My parts research and calculations verified what they said. It seemed like they have lowered the impeller rpm a little. Perhaps, they did that to advertise the SHO model. Even though, they changed the part numbers, some of them are the same.

I am going to have to pick up owners and parts manuals for it. Yes, it is a 921002 with the manual diff lock trigger and 358cc engine. I just read through the whole impeller speed thread and if what you say is correct, my 14" impeller should be really launching the snow. Can't wait to try it!
