Mid - 80's ST270 needs new housing wear skids

I also have the above - referenced snowthrower (2.7hp, 2-stage) which has worked remarkably well over the years since I acquired ownership in the mid-90's. One of the skids is completely gone, and I need to replace both. As usual, there is a somewhat confusing assortment of replacement skids available online. Some have reversible wear surfaces on both top and bottom, while others look like my current skids, with a more generous wear surface on one side only.
What works best? Can I assume that the bolt spacing I see online for the replacement skids is consistent among all Ariens models of snowthrower despite different model #'s being referenced?
Thanks,
Dave

Garage
I would measure the space between alignment holes and use that. I saw replacement Craftsman skids at 2-1/2" to 3" all over the place, but mine uses 2" spaced skids from the early 2000s. I did find an after market skid with better materials and a heavy thickness shoe that will last longer than the original.
