Oil leak question

Hi I have a deluxe 28 and I just found an oil leak that seems to be coming from the top cylinder gasket. I have just changed the oil from conventional to synthetic. Is it normal ?

No, that is not normal in my experience Ö I changed all my equipment over to synthetic many years ago, never had a leak on anything.

Your oil leak has nothing to do with changing your oil, unless you disturbed something on your engine.

Synthetic is thinner oil but keeps viscosity better, being thinner it will make its way out microscopic holes conventional oil canít. Some say not to change to full syn in older engines for this reason. But since I think itís better to run full syn I take the chance and plug a leak if needed
