Ariens Promotional $99.00 Extended 5 Year Warranty = YES or NO ??

Picking up my new Ariens Pro 28"RapidTrak tomorrow. I see Ariens has a special on their extended warranties. Right now, if you purchase the extended 5 year warranty, no matter the model (standard, Platinum, Pro, etc..) you get it for $99.00. For my Pro series it's normally $350.00. I never choose extended warranties on anything I purchase, but in this case, $99.00 seems like a pretty good deal. I've read that these transmissions are more expensive to fix vs the standard models. Any opinions on spending or saving $99.00 on this promotion ??

The standard warranty is 3 years. So is this an additional 2 years for $99?

No. It covers the entire machine. It basically extends the warranty you receive at purchase out to a total of 5 year's with no deductible or out of pocket costs. I would never consider it for $350.00. Not a chance. But $99.00 seems like a good deal. You can download the warranty on their website. It's too long to post here. I'm going to buy the extended warranty tomorrow once I get my serial number.
It also states that you can add this warranty up to 2 year's after purchase. So if anyone is interested in this promo who's purchased a blower within 2 year's you can still buy this promo extended warranty.

I purchased a 28 Hydro Pro EFI last year. Towards the end of last snow season (spring of 2019) I had an error code. After the snow ended, I brought it in for repair, and it was fixed with a new ECU and Battery. Because I feel that I am somewhat of a guinea pig on this blower, this last weekend I purchased the extended warranty.
The peace of mind is worth it for me.
When I look at how Ariens has cut costs by putting plastic bushings on the ends of the auger vs metal, and the elimination of roller bearings on the axle to metal bushings, I think this might be the extended warranty that might pay for it's self.

For what it is worth, this weekend we got 23" of snow plus 5' drifts; the blower performed very well...7 hours straight of blowing snow.
