I think if they are the same shape they are probably the same.Ariens only had a couple of cast iron housings that I can remember.
If you have the model #s you could double check online with your fav parts supplier.

Ariens 924024 8 hp 32” now a 10 hp
Ariens 910008 7 hp 24”

I don't have a 32 inch, but would think that something that much larger than a 24 inch bucket would tend to be a little more robust. …. JMHO


I will say though, those Ariens cast iron auger gear boxes are well built.

If you are talking about the older ST 1032 and the ST 824 on the 924 series, the answer is no...the larger buckets had a cast iron gearbox and six blade impeller, the 24 had an aluminum gearbox and for blade impeller. The early Ariens 924's up to and including 1978 had a teardrop bucket with the older almost indestructable gearbox, that will fit on a ST 824...the SHO 24's had a cast iron gearbox and six blade impeller....I'd love to find one cheap!
