Ariens autoturn mechanism disassembly

Hi from NH -

My deluxe 28 is a 2015 dealer bought and auto turn has worked flawlessly until now.
Most times it doesn’t let the wheels engage and clicks when I pul back on moving machine or when I go up an even slight incline.

I suspect the lubricant inside is dragging and causing it to not engage while delivering a click click click.

Has anyone taken this device apart to service ?

All belts and friction disc brand new.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum! I don't have an Auto-Turn machine, so certainly can't offer insight into disassembly, unfortunately. But this video shows a little bit of the internals, if it's of use:

I wonder if spraying some lubricant into the unit (after shielding the rubber wheel and friction disk, to avoid making them slippery) would do anything to help, while being non-invasive. Through whatever gaps may be available.

I can't remember who makes the unit, I want to say the company starts with a G? But searching using the manufacturer name might help find discussions of disassembly or repair work. I believe they are used in machines from other brands as well, not just Ariens.
