Tecumseh 9 HP sputter

Greetings. My Ariens Model 926001 has been good to me over almost 14 seasons averaging more than 10 ft. of snow annually. Early last season I noticed a slight sputter throughout the range: from low idle to full throttle. I changed the spark plug, fuel cap, drained and cleaned fuel tank, and removed and cleaned out the small hole in the idle mixture screw, all to no avail. This season I installed a new carb, hoses, and new in-line fuel filter yet the engine still runs with a slight sputter.

Since the machine is still able to clear snow, I'm tempted to leave "well enough alone" as I have a million other projects I could be working on.

Please give a listen and feel free to chime in.

Get an aftermarket carb with adjustable jet (if it has a fixed carb now)

Garage
I could not hear anything wrong with the sound of your engine, it did not seem to misfire at all. But there seemed a lot of vibration. Is the "slight sputter" occurring regularly or 10's of seconds apart?

I will fully warm up the machine and shoot another video shortly. Perhaps then the sputter will be more noticeable.
