Used ariens 13/32

I'm looking at a used Ariens 13/32 for sale on CL. Owner didn't buy it new and doesn't know what year it is.
It's old enough that it has a Tecumseh motor which dates it back to 2008 or older I think.
Can anyone give a site where if I get the serial # I will be able to tell the year?

Thanks

Year is pretty Irrelevant, Whereas Condition is Important. Any Older Large Frame Ariens is a Good Machine if it is Clean.

You can download Ariens manuals here, but you'll also need the model #:
https://www.ariens.com/en-us/manuals/download

Roughly speaking, if there's a year (like a publishing year) listed in the manual, that's a start.

Pictures would help people estimate the age. They'd also help with a sense of its condition, and helping to estimate value (though that varies with where you're located).

The Tecumseh engines have a Date of Manufacture (DOM) which will give you the year the engine was built. Hopefully this is the original engine for your model. The engines are usually built in the late summer/fall for the following model year of Ariens. So your 926 model was introduced in 2005 model year and was built starting in the fall of 2004. The Tecumseh engine for that Ariens model year was built in 2004 which has the updated info.

In the first 2 minutes of this video:
Donnyboy shows the location of the engine info on 2004 and up Tecumseh engines (and also the info for the earlier engines that would not apply to your 926 model.

For 2004 and up engines this site: https://www.jackssmallengines.com/ja...l-locator.aspx gives the breakdown of the DOM showing the year of manufacture. So from your engine DOM you will get an idea of your Ariens model year if the original engine.

Good luck.
