924116 duel pulley belt kit

Does anyone know if there is a duel pulley belt kit made for the 924116 Ariens snow thrower ? I can only find the kits for the 926 series. thanks in advance.I would like to increase the throwing capacity of my 924 and currently have a auger paddle kit installed but still looking for more.

Not sure if there is, but...I don't think that a dual pulley kit will help much in throwing distance, unless your belt is currently slipping. It will help the longevity of your belt(s) by distributing the load to two belts instead of one, but without any slipping on your current belt, the impeller will still spin at the same speed, and have the same throwing distance. How far are you currently throwing snow, and how far would you like to throw it ? Maybe you need a new belt, and also need to increase belt tension. Also, a spray of Fluid Film in the chute will also increase distance.

There's no dual pulley kit for a 924.

You could look into getting a larger auger pulley, I believe the stock pulley is 2.25" on the drive pulley side and 2.75" for the auger pulley side. I'd try a 3" or 3.25" auger pulley.

thank you to all

I was under the wrong impression then that the duel kit would have a larger pulley as well then. Installing a 3.25 is that possible to install a slightly larger pulley in this 924 ? I believe that the output shaft is a 1" but I'm not 100% sure ? thank you.

Try tractor supply, or eBay.
