Deluxe28 Stuck in Highest Speed Setting

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I recently purchased the Ariens Deluxe 28 Snowblower from Home Depot. Today is the 3rd time I have used it and already am having a problem. All of a sudden, I noticed that the machine would not run in the gear that I have selected. Even if I put it into reverse, it still goes forward at the highest speed. This unit is brand new, do you guys know what the problem could be and how I can fix this? I really don't have time to wait weeks or months for Ariens to assist me with this, not sure how their manufacturers warranty works, although I have already inquired about service and am waiting to hear back from them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Apparently this is starting to become a pattern. Looks the the shift forks are bending and coming unhooked resulting in the transmission becoming stuck in the fastest gear.

Please direct all snow blower questions to the forums and not to me with PMs.

Ouch, it only takes on serious design flaw to ruin a reputation. This is why I refuse to buy based on reputation alone. Kind of like the famous disclaimer... Past performance does not gauruntee future outcome.

Garage
You have to think twice before you say how bad those Chinese blowers are.

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!

thanks for the feedback guys.. it sucks that this is happening on an expensive unit after only 2 months.. I wonder what will happen in 2 years.. I am going to check out those links that you posted... I wonder if its an easy fix or more complicated..
