921030 deluxe discharge chute fix!

my new 921030 28" deluxe has the rotating chute with the gear and hand crank. when i bought it in january the black plastic chute rotation gear cover had an annoying vibration on the rotation shaft itself as well as the rear lower back portions vibrated terrably. at the time i helped to elliminated the vibration between the cover and gear rotation shaft with several wraps of black electrical tape on the shaft. the lower rear gear cover section vibration i hopefully fixed by taking a 5 1/4" long 7/16" o.d. x 3/16" i.d. vacumn hose, slicing one side of it, and sliding it on each side connecting or bridging the cover as the picture illustrates. i'l l know for sure how well it worked next season when i fire it up!

The slit rubber hose is a great idea for that

Necessity is the mother of invention! Good on ya.
Put a patent on it and sell it to the company and you can retire! Well, maybe not but it's a good idea anyway.
