932104 -8524LE Traction Belt

Hi All- I have a 932104 -8524LE that I purchased from Home Depot around 2004. She has treated me very well up till now. The traction belt poped off and I found the ideler spring hanging. I got a new spring but I'm not sure if I have it installed correctly. I have one end connect to the bottom of the ideler are and the other to the dime sized hole in frame of the transmission box. I spent the last two days looking on line so I'm confident I have the belt on correctly. I pulled everything apart and reassembled it today but the belt slipped off once again.

I noticed that the traction pully (can't find pn in manual) is wiggles, is this normal or does this mean the bearings are gone and would that cause the belt to come off?

Thanks in advance.

Sean

Hi all
I went over to the Local Ariens repair shop and they had a 932104 in for repairs. I had three issues. One the ideler was at the 10 o'clock position vs 2 o'clock (outside). Two the spring was needs to connect to the bottom of the transmission. When you put the blower in the service position thier will be a little notch on the bottom. Three I need a new bearing but that will need to wait until spring. 7 feet of snow in 3.5 weeks, who knows what's coming.

Cheers.
