Got a new toy

well new to me. Ariens ST 270 model #932001 s/n 017340.
Needed a little help, but this little thing works good!
Maybe someone (Scot) can tell me what year this thing is.
I think it is about 1987, but not sure.
I thought the 2.7 HP Tecumseh would be a little weak for a 2 stage machine with a 12" impeller. Yet once I tuned the carb, she handles all I could give it.
I just need to get some ice screws for the wheels now and she will be ready for anything.

Bast regards,
Butch

oops

not a 12" impeller....10" per spec..
Thought about an impeller kit, but the clearance is only about 1/8" to 3/16" stock.

Bast regards,
Butch

If it was me, I would probably put on Snow Hog Tires, even if I had to change the rims. I put them on all three of my machines, never a problem with traction since.

If I was keeping it, probably worth the investment. I'm selling this one.

Bast regards,
Butch
