Need a part number

For an Ariens 924050 model, Serial # 091678...

Machine needs a new auger/impeller bearing, so that's my next project. Having difficutlty finding the part number so i can order one.

Any help please? After ordering the part....then I'll work on getting the pulley and flange off the shaft... but first things first.

Is it an ST824 ?? Do you need the impeller bearing at the back of the housing or the auger bearings at the sides of the auger ??

Looks like the augers ride on bushings so I'm guessing you're in need of the impeller bearing.

That's something. On Jacks site they show three different PNs for the impellers bearing.

Thanks Kiss4afrog -- Yep, need the impeller bearing, not the two side bearings. I've not yet torn it apart, so don't know the dimensions.

It appears that the Radial Bearing (part 25) has two that fit this 824 snowblower -- part #: 05406300 and 05418200. I need to investigate further to see if their size is different. I also don't understand the numbers in parantheses next to the part #'s.

I've looked more into this, and believe that the bearing I need is part # 05406300. Now I'll get to seperating the bucket from the body and work on getting the pulley off. From what I hear, that can be a challenge!

I have replaced a couple of those sourced here:
Search results for: '54063' | MFG Supply

I am not sure what the difference in their 2 listings is if there is any at all.

Please direct all snow blower questions to the forums and not to me with PMs.

Thanks Jackmels and Shryp -- I've got a bearing coming. Looking forward to tearing into that machine.

I've been using 1635 2rs bearings. Seem to be better priced under that part number. The last batch from fleabay I purchased was from a transmission shop retailer. They were about $3.50 a piece made in Japan and seemed like some good high quality bearings.
