Is this factory?

Was this homemade at some point in this machines life, l like it! Not sure how or why id have to adjust the length of that rod. Sorry it loaded sideways this is the clutch release on a 10000 ariens.

I kinda agree. It's contoured perfectly, although it's not really a complicated bend! I like how it eliminated the ball joint swivel deal that's normally there. It works great!

ariens added adjustment there for a reason.....things wear, stretch and accidentally get bent. but if that mod kept the old girl blowin, its all good !! jmo
