Have you looked at Scot's web site-

The Ariens 1960's and 1970's Sno-Thro info site.

I found this, and it's free-

http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/PM%2024000.pdf

Thank you Scot.

yes, you have the wrong model number.

there are three different model and serial number sets on an Ariens snowblower..so far, you have found the least useful one! (happens all the time..its the most visible tag, sitting there right in the open on the side of the scoop.)

824006 is the model number of the scoop attachment, not the model number of the snowblower..the model number of the snowblower will be on another Ariens data tag at the rear of the machine, between the wheels...thats the model number you need.

Scoop attachment number 824006 was made through most of the 1980's..

Also look for a data tag on the side of the engine, and post any numbers you find there..the Tecumseh engine serial number contains a date code that can usually pin-point the exact model year of the snowblower.
