LED Headlights

Hey Hey. Bring on the snow! I've got an Ariens 24 Deluxe. I've already added some heated hand grips, MMMM toasty. Now I want to do something about that crappy headlight. Researched some nice 12 watt led lights, one for either side of the dashboard. I know about the bridge rectifier and how to hook the power to it from the existing headlight. But how do I hook up the positive and negative wires from the lights themselves to the rectifier. There are 2 tabs left on the rectifier for them. just not sure how to do the 4 wires into 2 tabs. Any help here will be greatly appreciated!!~

I know a member "liftoff" had some good threads on this and I believe a YouTube vid as well. Good luck

Let me know what you decide to do. One of my church's newer deluxe 30s had some damage done to the headlight lens (heavy shovel fell on top of it while in the shed) and I think I'll just do a frame mounted aftermarket assembly instead.

Just tie the 2 positives of the lights together and run to the positive of the rectifier, then tie the 2 light negatives together and run them to the negative of the rectifier, it's that simple. Just make sure the lights can take more than twelve volts like some will say 9-35 volts. If it's 12v max it might not like any spikes from the alternator. Are you even sure it's not already DC coming from the 2 wires?
