I love my Bob-caTs... except when they suffer an age-related malady. Ive replaced quite a few things on my 1824... next up is the "Easy-Spin" aluminum recoiler... the notch that holds the spring on the middle of the hub broke off... I drilled and formed a new one opposite it, hoping that it might do the trick, despite not having the cast-in ramp... well, turns out its good for a few runs and then springs loose, as the rope tension is released... Bought a whole recoiler housing off Ebay, because they are near impossible to find in aluminum... just plastic, and that requires some mods... which will likely break during the first brutally cold storm...

I would like to know what people use to lubricate the auger chain.
I have a BobCat model 828-5-10119. I would like to know if I can use motorcycle chain lube?

Also, I would like to know if anyone can link me to more information on this model. It is 28" wide 24" high model with 8 hp B&S.
