shear bolts for a meteor 87d with 60HP tractor

I have been doing a lot of drifted snow this year and keep shearing the pto shear bolts. which I have always used the grade one bolts to be on the safe side. When its just snow they are strong enough. Anyway I wanted to get a grade 3 bolt but no one has any around my area so I went with a grade 5 and have not sheared a one. But my concern is that may be too strong for the gear box. Any one out there have a older meteor and what do you do? Does any one know where I can get shop manual for these old Meteors? I sure would like to know what the company recommends for the shear bolts. Machine I have must be around 30 years old. Thanks

Sorry for the belated welcome. Personally I was off the forum for a lot of the early part of the year.

You already know this but (cut and paste):

I found beavervalleysupply.com on the internet sells Meteor snowblowers. I would ask them what they recommend for shear bolts.

Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!
