Getting Down to the Pavement

I am thinking of buying a 3 stage 26 incher.
The augurs seem high compared to other brands.
Do they do a good job on getting down to the pavement?

Thanks in Advance

My self I think it is just a sales rip off. If it was such a great idea the big 3 would be all over it, Honda, Ariens and Toro and others.....

Most 2 stage (and 3 stage) snowblowers have the ability of cleaning down to the pavement as long as the scraper bar and skids are adjustable (and are properly adjusted).
