2x 24" drive cable issue?

Hey guys,

I have a new to me cub cadet 24" 2 stage snowblower . Think its a 2009 and in overall good condition . I noticed that in gear r1 it goes forward very slow and f1 and f2 are fast. f3 ,f4 ,f5 the cable is slack and same speed as f1 and f2 .

Is this a internal problem with friction wheel ? the cable itself has now adjustment but on the lower end the is a clamp mechanism , is this where I could make an adjustment ? New to these and tomorrow's impending storm has got me kicking it into high gear .
