Technically unlike Honda, an Ariens warranty only applies to the original purchaser and is non transferable. As another member posted $1400. USD would be a fair price. However like many things in life timing is everything. If a rough winter comes and the machines are no longer available until the next model year production cycle, a full price offer of $1600. is certainly within the realm of possibility. This machine would normally be priced new at $1800. at your local Ariens dealer. Nice machine and best of luck selling it.

I didnít over pay, I simply rounded to a whole figure. I appreciate the advice in regards to my asking price but Iím sticking with my figure. Iíd also appreciate it if my price isnít being bashed when apples arenít being compared to apples. At the end of the day a lowly 30Ē deluxe sold at Home Depot really doesnít impress me for comparison.

Btw...

$1800 machine
$100 Ariens Extended warranty that is transferable per my dealer
$50 drift cutter est
$50 poly skids est
$125 taxes est

I understand your point and preference. I Would imagine that 28 inches would be the most in demand size especially for Ariens customers. Personally I am a big believer in power per inch when evaluating snowblower performance. I would much prefer a Platinum 24 SHO EFI powerhouse over a potentially underpowered Deluxe 30 EFI that will be more difficult to maneuver around the cars on my diveway. However I realize this is subjective that is why there are so many choices, everyone's needs and budgets are different.

Thanks Cardo. Iím marginally flexible on price. I just know what I paid and hope too break even if possible. Figure the machine is new and glossy still and it is winter so demand might be there.

369cc on the 24Ē is extremely nice for the ratios and yes maneuverable and nimble. 420cc on a 28 is nearly identical when you talk cc to bucket inch width. At the end of the day I want hydro and a pro is the only way.

Understood. The Pro 28 hydro is a really nice machine and a high capacity beast. You should get close to your asking price. I got lucky twice when selling 2 snowblowers over the past 3 years. One was an Ariens Deluxe 28 that I loved the build quality on (made me an Ariens fan). It threw very far. The machine as you know is a heavy duty machine but with an engine that is too small for its bucket width and heft. The machine would bog down on the plow pile, the toughest challenge for a snowblower. The fact that you can buy a 306cc Deluxe 28 SHO for only a $100. more is money very well spent. My old 8 hp 26" MTD didn't bog down on the plow pile, sold that one for a very good price as well similar circumstances right before a storm. I realized that the cc/torque to bucket width ratio was important. Enough rambling. I sold the Deluxe 28 when it was about a year old (not much use on it) right before a storm was expected for about $880. at that time a new Deluxe 28 was selling for $999. USD. but nobody had any left. The timing was right.

I understand where you're coming from and have been in the same situation. I was able to recoup 80% of my original purchase price. Please keep us informed as to the outcome of your sale.
