.

You're finding some doozies Gibbs!

Even as a young, naive kid I can remember seeing this model new in the shop and just laughing.

Not only is this Ariens' lowest model in history, this bucket is shoeless and has worn down Honda style.

The seller should be put away for fraud for asking that

A taylor ham & egg sandwich and a snapple has more value

.

1979 Toro 5/24 38040 (now a 6.5/24)
1983 Craftsman FF20 plow tractor

I agree, not one of Ariens greatest models. The augers are actually rubber paddles like a single stage, but I doubt if it adds any self propulsion to it.

Toro 8/24 (38080) 1989
Toro 421-QZE (38585) 2008

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

i would have the say the worst snowblower ariens ever made is the ariens metro 2 stroke 2 stage snowblower. good news is the gearbox is the same internally as a 924 series gearbox so i rip them apart for the gearboxes and junk the rest. you cant even scrap the stupid things because they are all plastic. saddest excuse for a 2 stage snowblower ever made

That 2+2 actually works ok from the one I have seen running, Auger driven just like a single stage and throws snow similar to one too. Only vid I could find on the tube of one in snow

Sno-Tek Modded, 15"X-Track tires (Now has same X-Track tires but 13"x4" for better fit), 254cc engine LED light and hand warmers.
Snapper 6/22 sold but not forgotten. Was my first.
Ariens ST1027LE workhorse and going strong.
New 2017 Ariens Deluxe completely rebuilt after losing a fight with a forklift.

If you do an offerup search for Mpls, a guy is selling a Metro, at least he was 9 months ago, for $329. You're saying he's a bit high?

.

The auger is not providing any propulsion.
