Tilted 928 for Sale in Michigan (near Detroit)

All,

Does something look odd with this 928 in the way it appears tilted? I am not in the market-just thought I would share. I know nothing about this person or unit.

Merry Christmas to all

There is something seriously wrong......!!!
The auger housing is really ground down, auger serrations are gone. Just another either shoeless or misadjusted shoes (at some point) Honda.

It has been repainted also (which is fine).

For that price, it better have a sound auger housing and mint augers....!!!

Yeah looks like somebody got lazy on dropping the shoes. Still functional I bet - not a bad buy if you talk talk em down a tad due to the wear.

Yes they are still functional in that condition (not as they should but still work, except for EOD because of the worn serrations), but if you want to replace those worn parts you'll need $1500. NOT so good.

I once fell buying one like that, that's how I know and how I learned (the hard way).

It appears that the tires are overinflated, as the side shoes look like they are set down a ways.

That looks like another canidate for this thread: https://www.snowblowerforum.com/forum...less-honda.htm

Or maybe a new thread, "Replaced skids after grinding down my auger housing".

I'd feel bad if it was a Murray but it's painful to see these high dollar Hondas get treated like this.

.
Make sure the windows are up before the snow plow goes by !!

If I were going to negotiate the price, I would be armed with pictures of what those augers are supposed to look like.

New augers are in the $320 range, per side.

Garage:
MTD....2 stage(modern 8.5 HP) not my favorite
Honda HS622 TA-B - acquired at an auction- nice machine for it's size.
Toro S-140- Picked it up on trash day... it runs, sort of.
Yamaha YS 240 TB "Ricky" latest Craigslist find- on the bench now.

It'll cut EOD stuff. Maybe not as well but early blowers didn't have serrated augers and did alright in that stuff. Lots of guys on here running old school blowers w/o serrated augers.
