Swap 7hp Tecumseh for a 10 hp

I was given a 7hp White snowblower from around 1989 to use at a cottage we own. I found that it has a broken connecting rod. I planned to swap the engine for a Predator but I found that the engine has two shafts.

I found a 10 hp dual shaft engine on Craigslist with the pulleys still attached from the same brand snowblower

Any idea how close the swap would be? From what I can tell, the mounting pattern is the same and the shaft height is close even though they are different engine families.

I am not sure if the pulleys have the same outside diameter.

Mine is a HSK70 and the engine I am looking at is a HMS100.

Anyone have input on the swap? Will it bolt on? Should I just scrap it?

if the output shafts are the same dia, ( swap pulleys if needed ) and the foot print is the same, it would " seem" to be a straight forward swap even if the 10 hp is a bit taller .

You'll have to drill another set of mounting holes to move the engine 1 1/2" back, then the pulleys should line up. The 8hp and larger MTD's mostly use 2 auger belts, while the 5-7 hp is a single.
