Homko made Craftsman. As for the wooden block skid shoes - a nice improvisation - 1970's era Craftsman gear drives (those red and white models) had the same round, circular skid shoes as the original Homko's had. Just poke around on the web and swap them in.

And don't laugh - that little machine beats shoveling. It's all metal gear on metal gear and it does its job.
