Smile a couple of links I found useful...

Here are a couple of links I've found useful. They specifically apply to the engines MTD uses which I think are made by a Chinese company called Zongshen. They could be helpful for Loncin and LCT since they all seem to be Honda clones, I don't know. I got to looking for these manuals the other day when someone here asked exactly how much oil their engine used. The general consensus was 20 ounces. The one manual for the smaller engines, my 208cc engine included, says 17-20.3 ounces, now that's exact!

MTD's engine brand is Powermore.
LCT (Ariens AX brand and Husqvarna engines) has a quick reference guide and a more in depth breakdown if you get the engine code scribed in the crankcase.
I can tell you without hesitation if you email or call LCT, they will answer (unlike Briggs).

You're right, the engines are called Powermore by MTD and I've read a couple times, on mytractorforum.com and a motorcycle website, they were designed and engineered by MTD and manufactured by one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in China named Zongshen. At any rate if you're going to do your own work every little bit of knowledge of these new engines will be useful. Just having the torque specs charts made it a useful download to me.
The era we're in right now reminds me of the 60's when we first started working on Jap bikes. Everyday was something different!
