First Flip!

A few weeks ago I posted about a mystery machine that my son found on the curb. Thanks to you all it was determined to be a MTD from the early 90's. I did the belts, starter pull cord, scraper bar, throttle cable, new carb, spark plug, friction wheel, oil change and ground the rust primed and painted the body and detailed the engine. I set the valve clearances, lapped them in and cleaned up the carbon. I'm into it about $80 and sold it last night to a friend for $180. I had a ton of fun doing it, made a new friend in Jayz1auto and demonstrated to my wife that I could make a little money doing it. Now that word has gotten out that I tinker a few free machines are coming my way.

Flipping is a lot easier when there are 2' of snow sitting on people's driveways !

Congrats on that! Looks like you put a lot of work into it, the second picture looks really neat! I should get into the habit of doing that more often.
