Self-propelled?

I have a Toro 824 oe on order from Home Depot. I just figured out it is not self propelled. Will I be ok?

That model is self propelled, as are virtually all blowers... It has 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse.

I know it is self propelled by the auger but some models are self propelled by the engine as well. The 824 is bigger than what I have been using - an older, smaller Craftsman and I am worried it will be too much machine to handle.

Single stage snowblowers are "self propelled by the auger"..2-stage snowblowers have powered wheels..Your Toro is a 2-stage, it has a transmission that drives the wheels, and it is not propelled by the augers..As Tabora said, it has 6 speeds forward and two reverse, wheels are powered.
