Interesting 1979 Craftsman

Got this Freebie From a Local. 1979 Single Stage 2 Cycle. Chain Drive w/Centrifugal Clutch. Actually Runs Pretty Good! Wish There was some Snow to Try it out.

Single stage!? Wondering how it would throw if you attached a rim of rubber along the rake edges.

Hey - I know this is an old thread, but my grandparents have this same snowblower (complete with plastic top cover). Grandma worked for Sears for 35 years, so a lot of the tools and equipment at their house was/is Craftsman...


The blower hasn't run in a number of years, but I was messing with it last night (along with some other equipment.) It had good spark. A little starter fluid in the plug hole got it to cough to life ever-so-briefly. So I think she's a keeper!


Any chance you still have the manual? There might be a copy in their house somewhere, but if not I'd like to have one.


I tried to post some pictures but it doesn't seem like the forum has a way for me to upload them. I don't have them posted elsewhere so the link button won't help me...
