There is a what looks to be nice HS621 in my neck of the woods for $225. been procrastinating about looking at it . supposed to snow later this week so I'll probably snooze and lose. $225 is pretty good for a 621 around here. they dont come up very often.

This past weekend was in the high 50's-low 60's and had hopes that my driveway was going to dry out some. Then I heard we were supposed to get 6 inches of snow through the week but it all came at once yesterday and I had to get my blower out. It took several adjustments of the skid plates to find a suitable placement where I wouldn't be throwing the gravel out of my driveway and onto the lawn. I ended up with an inch of snow to digging into high spots by a half inch. WHEN WILL THIS WINTER END? Another 2+ inches of snow tonight!

i got a chance to look at the hs720 and one thing for the toro's they are much easier to work on and get to the fuel system ect.

i didnt feel like taking off the whole chute adjusting bar that runs through the back cover that covers the carb. i got that out of the way the best i could and ended up doing a quick and dirty carb clean to see if that would work. i just dropped the bowl cleaned the emulsion tube and main jet. took the sqrew out of the air passageway on the top of the carb and sprayed that then put back together enough to try and start.

she started up and ran perfect must have not been much of a blockage or the bad gas i drained out of it.

well the 720 gets the last spot in the shed. im probably done looking for blowers now and focus more on yard equipment.

Finally started taking apart the 254cc engine from my $50 Ariens 921030 Deluxe 28. Who said that ventilated crankcases were only for Tecumseh. Right under the fuel tank was this quarter size hole.
Such a shame something this new already has a blown engine. The oil was pretty black so I'm guessing a lack of oil or at least lack of clean oil was a contributing factor.

Had a surprise today, wife had to go to the doctor and now it's snowing pretty good outside. It's getting slick and already saw 2 accidents in 5 minute.

I moved my blower out to the shed a couple days ago. Was harvesting walking onion sets last two days. Iris had started to pop out of the ground. Had noticed some green grass in the brown and today can't see ......... for the snow. MAN, it's big fluffy flakes and it's been snowing for over five hours now. I didn't think it would accumulate because of the warn temps this last week but there is a good 3-4" down and that's not counting the stuff that melted at first. Roads are slushy and a bit slippery.
Didn't really want to go out but had some returns I needed to do at the library. Photo's kind of dark, hadn't brushed off the side windows yet.
