I broke my foot back in july and had not even started any of my bikes. at todays doctors visit he said I could ditch the boot so once back home I did. went out a few hours later and fired up the Mighty ST 1300 and the GSA, I rode each one up and down the block to see how it would feel. well I can say that i'm not ready to be back on either one

Aren't you the same guy that said - When a customer sees my garage, that sells them on purchasing my snowblowers ? Is that because you won't tell them how to get out of the garage unless they purchase your snowblower ? Sorry !

Garage
Checking in...been very busy. Nothing much fun mind you...just busy.

Been bus driving, mostly good things to report. Today is my 1st day doing ultimately what my job is, and that's a sub driver. Thankfully, I know the route...my only worry is we got a chance for severe storms right during the afternoon drive.

Got to FINALLY go fishing for reals last weekend. The past 3 Septembers, the Upper Mississippi has been so high that fishing my pool (11) was effectively useless from mid August until November. But I was able to go out last Saturday morning and hooked into the first walleyes I've caught on that pool in 6 years now. They were all carbon copies of each other, roughly 19-21 inches, probably all from the same class/year - considering the river wasn't really fished for about 6 months, my hope is it means this year there should be some size finally with numbers.

I kept my limit (5) and fillets are in the freezer cause one never knows when the next opportunity will come. About that...the late summer monsoons have kicked in again - my best laid plans for this weekend are now going up in smoke for the river is forecast to rise at the very least 2 feet.

Ahhh crap. I just looked at the L&D 10 forecast. Water was in the high 6's last weekend. It'll be in the 10's by Sunday and near 11 by mid next week.

There goes the rest of September. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

1974 Ariens 922008/922003 "Frankenstein", my dad's 1st new snowblower
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "The Badger", recent addition, ready for snow
1971 Ariens 922002/922003 "Juneau", finally ready for snow

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
