Yes, 1st option looks better as it has electric start. 2nd option is suspect based on the the tapered shaft.

and the briggs has more power, I need one for my 521

current machines

I just ordered the $79 dollar engine to try it out...25 mm is .98 inches so a 1 inch pulley should work...the 7/8 inch step is only the last 3/4 inch...just the thing for a cheap 10000 series swap, or a 5hp MTD swap......I'll keep you posted.....

I thought that as well...But said for MTD so I thought maybe that is why it is tapered?????

Interesting...the seller is about 40 miles from where I live. Tipton is typical Small Town Iowa at it's finest, kind of in no man's land between Cedar Rapids and the Quad Cities.

Never heard of them before. I'll have to remember this place.
